The Danish Language Council recommends setting up a term bank

Webteam · 04/09/2012 ·

Memorandum on the status of the Danish language 2012:

http://dsn.dk/nyt/nyheder/2012/dansk-sprogs-status-2012

In general the memo recommends that:

• the legislation and strategic initiatives involving language issues are coordinated so they do not work at cross-purposes.

• the status of the Danish language is regularly reviewed, e.g. by submitting a progress report to the government and / or parliament at appropriate intervals,

• the Danish terminology should be strengthened, for example by setting up a multilingual term bank where technical terms in Danish and foreign languages as well as their definitions are recorded and made available to the general public.
